Hi, if you reach this article, it means you are reading my very first story. Before creating this blog, I never thought I would write again after quitting 10 years ago. WHY? Because 10 years ago, a woman’s voice has never been heard in the community. The woman has been described as the one who should be in the kitchen cooking, doing the laundry, cleaning, etc.

Even when you have good educational qualifications, “your place is in the kitchen.” They said.

Woman’s discrimination has been happening ever since. I feel it is so unfair that everything we do has to be something that pleases their (men’s) eyes. I felt the urge to rebel, I have the urge to shout and tell them to shut up and listen to me. But my voice was only heard inside me.

Being in the ERA where a woman has no right to do what they want, to say what they want, life has been so challenging for us woman. Why does this have to happen in the first place? I have an answer which I could never erase from my memory.

“Men is the leader of the family. Men are the leader of the town. Men are the leader of the state. Men are the leader of the country. Men are the ones chosen by GOD. You women take care of us men, the house, and the children.”

You can see how I am against these things that are not in the balance. Woman do have their own opinion, a woman does have their own strength, and women do have the choice to do or not to. Whatever we wear become the attention of men’s eyes. We shouldn’t be. Don’t even try to preach religious things. Put that aside because we all know even when we wear full cover from head to toe, men still will be catcalling or even to the worst rape. HARASSMENT is something that is not for you men to be proud of!

Women deserve to decide what they wear. Women deserve the right to be confident going outside without the worry of how men will approach them. Trust me, nobody would want to be treated that way neither men nor women. This entire gender issue must stop. Women deserve the same treatment as how men do. We are both equal.

You might find this article or this entire blog as a feminist, only listen to one side story. Chill, because this blog will be talking more about both sides. But most of the stories will be on HER POV more. I have more stories to tell but let me end this one here giving more space to the other stories.

THE PURPOSE is more to tell you why I suddenly would want to write again. What has happened? What is the goal of this new blog?
